Donald Trump has chosen Dr. Mehmet Oz as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a cardiothoracic surgeon who has generated controversy for his approach to medicine, and who will now be in charge of health insurance coverage that protects more than 150 million Americans.
Known as "Dr. Oz," he has been criticized for selling miracle products and has had a television career. He was chosen by Trump, who said, "I have known Dr. Oz for many years, and I am confident that he will fight to ensure that everyone in America receives the best medical care possible."
