Officials in the San Mateo County They have asked the federal government and the state of California to prioritize residents of East Palo Alto and other low-income communities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, as they have been among the areas most affected by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
And many low-wage essential workers live in these areas, so local, state and federal governments need to focus on improving the quality of life for the people who put themselves at risk every day to keep things moving forward, said Democratic State Senator Josh Becker.
