Every Wednesday, through the Steve Young Show, a renowned radio program on San Francisco's KNBR station, the prestigious Forever Young Foundation selects an individual or organization that has excelled in community service and recognizes the Hero of the Week.
The Forever Young Foundation's recognition on Wednesday, January 6 was awarded to the Redwood City-based organization Casa Círculo Cultural.
"Every week, we announce the Forever Young Foundation Hero of the Week here. This week's recognition is for Casa Círculo Cultural, a truly vibrant, multidisciplinary organization that hosts a variety of cultural programs that reflect the Latino community in the Bay Area," they said on the radio program.
Steve Young, former San Francisco 49s player, added: "My kids went to Spanish immersion schools and it's the best thing I've done, because now they're bilingual.
Forever Young Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Steve Young in 1993, whose work focuses on providing resources for the development, strength and education of children who face physical, emotional and financial challenges.
The Forever Young Foundation's work is primarily in California, Arizona, Utah and Ghana, Africa.
