Redwood City Mayor and Council Sign Resolution for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

At Peninsula 360 Press we join the demand of the Jewish, Palestinian, Latin American and other communities living in Redwood City to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people by the Israeli government, with the financial support of the United States.

On February 26th, at the Redwood City Council regular meeting, A group of residents have again called on them to sign a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, where more than 30,000 trapped people have been killed, many of them children, women and doctors.

The genocide of the Palestinian people also has a devastating emotional and moral impact on our communities in Redwood City.

Furthermore, we know that this genocide would not be possible without funding from the United States government, and we do not want our hard-earned tax dollars to be used to eradicate any people.

Opposing the genocide of the Palestinian people is not being anti-Semitic, but quite the opposite. The Jewish people suffered the Holocaust and, after that, international agreements were made to prevent another extermination against any people.

Redwood City Council members, we look to you to rise to the occasion and sign the resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Mr. Mayor of Redwood City, Jeff Gee, through years of hard work, you have earned the support and affection of the Latin American community in this city, and this same community now respectfully asks you to take a firm stance for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
