As of January 1, 2025, the San Mateo County increase the minimum wage in unincorporated areas to 17.46 dollars per hour as of January 1, 2025, which means an increase of just 40 cents compared to 2024.
This minimum wage must be paid to employees who work at least two hours per week, with few exceptions.
