A man was stabbed in East Palo Alto on Monday night following celebrations for the Fourth of July, the day that commemorates the independence of the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the local Police Department, officers responded to a report at 11:35 p.m., of a stabbing victim in the 400 block of East O'Keefe Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon arrival, officers found the victim and administered first aid before paramedics arrived, but the person died at the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police are withholding the victim's name pending notification of next of kin, according to a police news release issued around 3 a.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The stabbing death marks East Palo Alto's third homicide this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to call Acting Commander Angel Sanchez at (650) 853-3154. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
