{"id":1235,"date":"2020-09-17T21:33:58","date_gmt":"2020-09-17T21:33:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peninsula360press.com\/?p=1235"},"modified":"2021-02-05T09:55:38","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T17:55:38","slug":"mask-mobile-travels-around-san-mateo-to-prevent-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/peninsula360press.com\/en\/mask-mobile-travels-around-san-mateo-to-prevent-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Mask Mobile tours San Mateo to prevent COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br>Peninsula 360 Press <br><br>The <em>Mask Mobile<\/em>San Mateo County's San Mateo County, is a van that will be distributing masks and will be on the streets starting this Thursday from Daly City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>County Supervisor David Canepa opened the program <em>Mask Mobile<\/em> at 12:30 p.m. at the Cafe <em>Top of the Hill<\/em> on Mission Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"It's a fun, exciting and educational way to promote the use of face masks in public spaces,\" Canepa said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, he said: \"We will be offering masks and providing material about the Covid-19 in areas where they are most needed. This is an initial effort to educate the public that fines are now being levied in this county for violating state health orders. Hopefully, we won't have to issue any fines, but we're ready to do so as well. It's no mystery, the use of masks saves lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is the work of the county's Office of Community Affairs, which will be visiting several cities on the Peninsula to distribute multi-language materials, masks and cleaning supplies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-twitter wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">San Mateo County has a new Mask Mobile to distribute masks &amp; educate communities on the importance of wearing them.
