Redwood City's premier fall event, Oktoberfest, has come downtown, bringing a fabulous traditional German atmosphere to the festivity that dates back to 1810.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oktoberfest in Redwood City will feature over 1,100 feet of family-style bench seating, lots of fun and merriment, music, dancing, contests, cold beer and other beverages, food, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event runs from Wednesday, September 21 through Sunday, September 25, when the massive Oktoberfest tent transforms Courthouse Square for revelers of all ages to enjoy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ticket prices range from $10-$17 for all ages and $16-$27 for those 21 and older, which includes a commemorative stein and a drink ticket for beer or soda depending on the type of ticket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the event brings special VIP tables for 6 people, offered at $255.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exciting German-style entertainment began on Wednesday, September 21 with authentic dance music by Deutscher Musikverein and Nature Friends Schuhplattler, followed by Alpine Sound Band and Nature Friends Schuhplattler on Thursday, September 22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From September 23-26, The Internationals Band and Golden Gate Bavarian Club will be performing as dance artists and game hosts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Downtown Redwood City's Oktoberfest extravaganza offers delicious, authentic German food, including pretzels and brats, along with a tempting cold beer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dancing, singing and plenty of audience participation will include dance contests, jug-holding, yodeling contests, and hand gesture skits to select songs, among others, not to mention many variations of the \u201cinternational\u201d chicken dance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advance online ticket purchase is recommended as this event may sell out before on sale at the door. No refunds or exchanges. Extra food and drink tickets sold separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be noted that the event does not admit pets or food purchased externally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And while children are welcome to join Oktoberfest and enjoy the music, dancing and food, there will not be a dedicated children's area or activities at this event and a ticket is required for all children over the age of 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
