Remember that motorcycles can be difficult for drivers to see, so be sure to wear brightly colored clothing and use reflective items. Let\u2019s work together to make our roads safer for everyone. Have a safe and enjoyable ride,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help protect you and your family, keep the following tips in mind while driving or riding a bicycle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>drivers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Always check your mirrors and blind spots before changing lanes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not follow a motorcycle too closely. Make sure the rider is turning before proceeding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>motorcyclists<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Always wear a helmet that meets U.S. Department of Transportation standards with eye protection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear leather or other sturdy clothing, such as a jacket, pants, non-slip-soled boots, and gloves. Add reflective stripes or stickers to your clothing and motorcycle to make it easier for other drivers to see you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive defensively. Don&#039;t assume a driver can see you.
