Agents of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office<\/a> Man arrested in San Carlos after being found under the influence of alcohol and in possession of firearms and usable cartridges.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officers responded to the 200 block of Industrial Road in San Carlos City on a report of a vehicle blocking the exit of a business, police said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon arrival, officers found a white Chevrolet Express van blocking a commercial exit, so officers contacted Andrew Cuestas, who was sitting in the driver's seat with the vehicle running.<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon contact with him, Cuestas showed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, and admitted to being in possession of a rifle inside his vehicle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an unloaded .22 caliber rifle, a loaded pistol, and several usable high-capacity magazines.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cuestas failed a series of alcohol tests and was arrested on eight criminal charges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cuestas was transported and booked into the San Mateo County Jail without incident.<\/span><\/p>\n
