Police officers responding to a gunshot outside East Palo Alto City Hall found an injured man outside City Hall and the library.<\/span><\/p>\n

ShotSpotter, an acoustic gunshot detection system, recorded at least five shots fired in the area of 2415 University Ave. around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, authorities said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The man found there, who suffered gunshot wounds to the upper torso, was taken to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition, police said in a statement Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n

"Initial indications are that the shooting was not related to any activity at City Hall or the Library," police said.<\/span><\/p>\n
