Photo: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redwoodcity.org\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Redwood City<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Melissa Stevenson Diaz announced Wednesday the appointment of Jeff Schwob as Redwood City&#039;s Director of Community Development, who will be responsible for current and advanced planning, building and municipal code compliance, development services, and historic and environmental review.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.redwoodcity.org\/Departments\/Community-Development-Department\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Community Development Department<\/a> works to guide the physical growth, development and preservation of the City under the political direction of the City Council in conjunction with other local departments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cServing as Interim Community Development Director, Jeff has brought more than 30 years of invaluable experience from Bay Area cities to Redwood City,\u201d said City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz. \u201cI am thrilled that he will serve as our Director on a permanent basis; I know he will effectively lead and support our staff and connect well with a wide range of stakeholders.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jeff\u2019s career began in Alameda County, with experience in San Rafael, Santa Rosa, and Fremont, where he served as Community Development Director.
