A Redwood City man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly shooting into a vehicle with two people inside last month, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n

On March 6, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Redwood City officers were alerted to a reported shooting in the area of Lincoln Avenue and El Camino Real. Upon arrival, they observed a vehicle occupied by two individuals who reported encountering an individual who, for unknown reasons, pulled out a firearm and shot them.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to police, the victims' vehicle was hit three times, two of them near the driver's compartment. None of the occupants were injured.<\/span><\/p>\n

Based on their investigation, detectives identified the shooter as Alan Viveros Lara, 21. He was located and arrested on Wednesday and a search warrant was served at his residence. Police said they found the handgun used in the shooting, which was a .40-caliber Glock 27.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viveros Lara was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for the alleged shooting and other suspected crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n
