Peninsula 360 Press [P360P].<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Santa Clara County notes that it currently does not have sufficient doses of COVID-19 vaccine.<\/strong> for all eligible persons; however, he assured that all those who want to receive the immunization will eventually be able to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, a shortage of SARS-CoV-2 vaccine throughout the Bay Area has prompted local health officials to <strong>prioritize doses for older adults<\/strong> due to the high case fatality rate due to coronavirus within that group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pending an increased number of vaccine doses, the San Mateo County Health Department has remained aligned with California state guidelines and continues to vaccinate residents 65 years of age and older who receive care through clinics or have no other access to immunization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, eligible health care workers continue to be immunized as part of Phase 1 of the national immunization campaign, as well as Home Support Services workers and long-term care residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notably, the County Health Department has launched two new dashboards for vaccine data.
