From December 14, 2020 through June 28, 2021, more than 324 million doses have been administered in the United States, saving millions of lives and reopening countless facilities at risk of closing due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COVID-19 vaccines were evaluated in several thousand participants in clinical trials, which met the rigorous scientific standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality of the Food and Drug Administration (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FDA<\/a>The following are required to support the emergency use authorization.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it's not all there: vaccines will continue to undergo the most intensive safety monitoring in U.S. history, with both established and new ones to ensure vaccine safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bravo! According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), many people do not experience side effects.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some have had swelling, redness and pain at the injection site, fever, headache, tiredness, muscle aches, chills and nausea, which go away in a few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Severe reactions are very rare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, systems in place to monitor the safety of COVID-19 vaccines have detected only two types of serious health problems after vaccination, both of which are very rare.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are anaphylaxis and thrombosis-thrombocytopenia syndrome after receiving the J&amp;J\/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anaphylaxis may occur after receiving <strong>any<\/strong> vaccine. If it happens, vaccination center providers have medications available to immediately and effectively treat the reaction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After you get the COVID-19 vaccine, you will be asked to stay at the center for 15-30 minutes for observation in case you have a severe allergic reaction and need immediate treatment. There is nothing to be afraid of.
