He will then be presented to a judge to determine his extradition status to the U.S. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honduran Supreme Court will have to analyze the request made by the North American country in which it must decide on a temporary arrest and lead to extradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extradition is the formal process by which a State surrenders an individual to another State to be tried or punished for crimes committed in the jurisdiction of the requesting country. It is usually made possible by a bilateral or multilateral treaty. Some States extradite without a treaty, but such cases are rare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US justice system is seeking former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hern\u00e1ndez &quot;for drug trafficking and firearms offenses.&quot;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the Secretary of State announced that it had revoked his visa to enter the US through his secretary, Antony Blinken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The United States is advancing transparency and accountability in Central America by making public visa restrictions against Honduras&#039; former president, Juan Orlando Hernandez, on account of corrupt actions.
