Cash App founder murdered in San Francisco

Cash App founder murdered in San Francisco A man identified as Bob Lee, a technology executive and former Square chief technology officer, was stabbed to death early Tuesday near downtown San Francisco.

The San Francisco Police Department said in a report that on April 4, 2023, at approximately 2:35 a.m., police officers from the South Station came to 300 Main Street on a stabbing case. 

Officers arrived on scene and located a 43-year-old adult male victim, suffering from apparent stab wounds, whom they rendered assistance and subsequently called medics to the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.    

Although police did not name the man stabbed, NBC Bay Area sources identified Lee, who worked as a product manager for MobileCoin.

This incident is being investigated by the SFPD Homicide Department. As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the case, nor have any arrests been made, so it remains an active investigation.
