celebrates Star Wars

"In a galaxy far, far away"? or not so much, because very close to San Mateo County, to be precise, in the city of San Francisco, this May 4th celebrates Star Wars, one of the most important movie franchises, known in Spanish as "La Guerra de las Galaxias" (Star Wars).

The celebration of "May the 4th" or May 4th as Star Wars Day has its origins in a mere phonetic question of the phrase "May the Force be with you", a play on words created by the fans of this movie series.

In English, May the 4th is pronounced very similar to "May the Force", so fans have made this day a celebration that has crossed borders.
