The Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco says that as of March 1, 2022 there will be a new service for scheduling appointments at consular offices under the name "MiConsulado".
The Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco is pleased to announce the launch of a new service, MiConsulado, which will be available beginning March 1, 2020. This new service for scheduling appointments at consular offices, under the name "MiConsulado," will provide migrant citizens with more options and easier access to services. MiConsulado offers a variety of appointment times so that you can find the most convenient time for your schedule.
MiConsulado also helps make appointments easier by providing the option to view available times in U.S. or Mexican Standard Time and in English or Spanish.
There are many advantages to using MyConsulate over other ways to schedule an appointment; this includes the ability to cancel an appointment or reschedule within 12 hours ahead of time, as well as request a same-day appointment if space is available.
As always, all inquiries to the Consulate General as well as comments can be avoided. MyConsulate has a telephone number (1-424-309-0009) for those who need assistance in making an appointment.
Also, the public portal link will change to https://citas.sre.gob.mx and will continue to operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, said the Consulate General of Mexico in San Francisco.
In order to simplify and improve services, as of March 1, 2022, the telephone numbers 1-877-6394835 (1-877-MEXITEL) and 01-800-6394835 (800-MEXITEL) will cease to operate as of March 1, 2022. As part of these changes, contact is being facilitated through the MiConsulado service.
Consular staff is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except holidays; however, no e-mail address was provided.

The current telephone numbers 1-877-6394835 (1-877-MEXITEL) and 01-800-6394835 (800-MEXITEL) will be discontinued as of March 1, 2022.
