Amor Terrazas, founder and director of My Spanish House, points out that «in a building, the most important thing is the base. In this way, it is that since 2013 he has directed said institution in Palo Alto, California, where several generations of children ranging from the first year of life to six years, have completed playful educational processes in Spanish that prepare them not only to enter to kindergarten but also to deal with life's challenges.

It should be noted that Amor Terrazas has a master's degree in design of outdoor educational rooms, which allows him to delve into outdoor education as the basis of the educational processes that he now implements in the Mi Casita de Español programs.

Currently, the educational center has two locations, the first located at 4133 Wilkie Way, Palo Alto, where they receive children from the first year to four years.

While at the headquarters located at 484 Charleston Rd., Palo Alto, they receive children from four to six years old.

"The goal is for children to leave prepared for kindergarten, reading in Spanish," stressed Amor Terrazas.

In addition, as part of the skills that children develop at Mi Casita de Español, they revolve around exploring materials, music, science activities, arts, writing, mathematics, all based on play, Terrazas mentioned.

The all-female educational team receives ongoing training and pursues a career as college educators at DeAnza College.

On March 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mi Casita de Español will have an “Open House” at both locations to show parents who are interested in learning about the method and facilities, as well as talk with the educators.

Regarding the registration process, Amor Terrazas recommends that parents take their children to see the facilities, since it is important to see if the children like the place.

Registration for the summer of 2023 and for the school year that begins in August are open.
