More than 200,000 homes continue to be affected by power outages in the Bay Area
More than 200,000 PG&E customers are still affected by power outages in the Bay Area, the power company said early Monday morning.

More than 200,000 PG&E customers in the Bay Area are still affected by widespread power outages in the region, the power company said early Monday morning.

As of 5 a.m. Monday, power had been restored to approximately 678,000 homes, but another 235,407 customers were still affected, PG&E said.

North Bay households without power still number about 72,829, while South Bay has 72,466 affected customers, according to PG&E.

The electricity supply also remains to be restored to 56,604 customers in the Peninsula; 28,717 homes in East Bay; and 4,791 clients in San Francisco.

The power outages, caused by severe weather conditions, began around 8 a.m. Sunday in Monterey County, as reported by PG&E.
