Space Marine 2: Who is TotalBiscuit in the credits?

As you all know on the internet, Space Marine 2 was just released on September 9th of this year and those who have already finished it saw a very interesting credits of the game, a tribute to the Youtuber and British extraordinaire, Totalbiscuit, also known as The Cynical Brit. All of his content is in English and maybe that's why you've heard his name, but John Peter Bain, nicknamed Totalbiscuit was a video game critic, analyst, commentator, famous among other things for his series of videos titled ?WTF is?. An ardent defender of consumer rights, Totalbiscuit was characterized by his harsh criticism of the industry and disdain for its lack of the option to modify the Field Of View in games.

John Peter Bain interviewed in the H3 Podcast about your diagnosis

A die-hard World of Warcraft fan, Bain started a YouTube channel discussing the Cataclysm expansion in hopes of making a career in entertainment after being laid off from his job at a financial advisory firm during the economic downturn that affected economies across the globe. Perhaps that's the best of situations, facing economic depression and layoffs with strength and creativity to start a job doing what you're truly passionate about.

Unfortunately, in 2014, Bain was diagnosed with colon cancer and although he initially showed signs of remission, a year later it would be revealed that the cancer had spread to his liver and was inoperable.

On May 24, 2018, his wife Genna announced that Bain had died due to a hepatic coma and was dead.

I also want to say that Totalbiscuit was one of the reasons I got interested in video game journalism. Reviews from Jim Sterling, Angry Joe and of course Totalbiscuit not only influenced my view on the industry but also the comedy and humor that I like.

Bain is not gone forever, he is survived by years of content that can still be enjoyed and, above all, compared to see how little the video game industry has changed in what really matters. He is also survived by colleagues whom he influenced directly or indirectly.

Of course, his love for Warhammer 40k also keeps his memory alive and Saber Interactive pays a small tribute to this outstanding Briton.

And as his widow said on Twitter regarding this gesture in the Focus Interactive game:

  • ?Do I think Saber Games' tribute to my late husband Totalbiscuit in Space Marine 2 is wonderful? Yes. However, the game needs Field of View adjustments.
