Two arrested for the theft of several bicycles in Redwood City

Two adult men have been arrested for theft of multiple bicycles in Redwood City after local police found enough evidence that they have stolen more than $50,000 worth of high-end bikes.

Authorities detailed that on June 1, the Chain Reaction bike shop in Redwood City was robbed. The thieves made off with more than $50,000 worth of high-end bikes, however detectives were able to determine the involvement of two suspects.

The two detainees are Redwood City residents: 32-year-old José Guadalupe Gómez and 27-year-old Joe Rivera.

Both subjects were arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail.

The Redwood City Police Department is still investigating this crime, as they believe there are additional suspects involved and most of the stolen bikes are still missing.

Given this, they have asked anyone who has any information about this case to contact Detective Schneider at 650-780-7607.

For tips on any Redwood City case, residents can call 650-780-7110.
