Shakespeare in the Park is leaving, and this is the last weekend for you to enjoy totally free theater.
The event is this Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Red Morton Park, on the Valota Road side of the park, located at 1455 Madison Ave, in Redwood City.
The play to be enjoyed is "Much Ado About Nothing," this beloved classic features the blending of two different love stories: Hero and Claudio, whose love is challenged by jealousy, and Beatrice and Benedick, who work together through their past history to find love again. Don John's villainy and Agent Dogberry's spitting evil intentions add to the fun!

Dress in white, the Picnic en Blanc is today.
The Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation presents the seventh annual Picnic en Blanc, a wonderful, non-traditional summer dance party and picnic for the community that will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This 21+ event has it all... Incredible outdoor location, the great Hella Good Dance Band, refreshing beverages such as premium wines provided by Old County Cellars and much more?
The makers set up picnic tables, outdoor games, a dance floor and a stage in a beautifully decorated outdoor venue. Musical entertainment is provided during dinner and then a dance band to keep you on your feet dancing for 2 hours straight.
So all you have to do is bring your picnic dinner, wear white with a splash of color and bring your friends!
The event is suitable for children
Picnic en Blanc is not only a ?good time for all? event, but it is also a fundraiser for the community. This year it is for local youth sports scholarships to be administered by the City of Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department to give more kids the opportunity to play sports.

Do you prefer an evening at the movies with the little ones at home? Well, this Saturday, August 27, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m., the Disney film, Valiente, will be screened at Junipero Serra Park located at 1801 Crystal Springs Road in San Bruno.
So enjoy a cinematic experience under the stars! Bring a blanket and/or your own snacks.
Please note that the film will not begin until after dark at approximately 8:00 p.m.

This Saturday and Sunday Silicon Valley Pride will be held in San Jose. This is the South Bay's largest Pride celebration and is a family friendly event.
So, that's 44 years of honoring and celebrating our right to choose who we love and who we spend our lives with!
This Saturday, August 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the Fiesta Mayor Nocturna will be held, while on Sunday, August 28, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Pride Parade will take place, and then from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the Day Festival will be held.
The venue for all these festivities will be at the Plaza de Cesar Chavez, at number 1 Paseo de San Antonio in San Jose.

This Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. the Lebanese Festival will be held for the 12th year at Courthouse Square in downtown Redwood City, where everyone is invited.
There, attendees of all ages will be able to sample authentic Lebanese food, live entertainment, games and much more. Admission is completely free.
Twenty-five percent of net proceeds will be donated to support Lebanon.

The sixth annual Fisher House fundraiser car and motorcycle show will also be held this Saturday.
The event will take place from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center located at 1455 Madison Ave in Redwood City.
Event attendees of all ages will enjoy classic car viewing, music, honor guard, face painting, drawings, lots of prizes and more. Food and beverages will be available.
Fisher House Foundation has provided more than 5 million 800 thousand days of housing to 250 thousand veteran families since 1990. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Fisher House in Palo Alto.
