Bed provision activated in shelters in Redwood City due to adverse weather conditions

As of this Friday, December 2, the city has made beds at shelter centers in Redwood City available to anyone who needs it to face the adverse weather conditions that affect all of San Mateo County.

Activation is intended for families or individuals who need shelter due to low temperatures or inclement weather.

All those who need support can call Fair Oaks Community Center at 650-780-7500 or visit him at 2600 Middlefield Road in Redwood City, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If it is after 5:00 p.m. or during the weekend, those interested can call 650-780-7100, which is the service number of the Police Department to access the emergency shelter.

Notably, those using the shelter facilities will be required to adhere to all COVID-19 safety procedures for the duration of their stay, officials said.
