The governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, is getting off the train of the race heading for the presidency of the United States, after this Sunday he announced the end of his candidacy for the White House, endorsing former President Donald Trump.
"We have no clear path to victory. As a result, I am suspending my campaign today. I am proud to have fulfilled 100 of my promises and I will not stop now. It is clear to me that the majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance," DeSantis said in a speech he broadcast through his social networks.
In the message lasting just over four and a half minutes, DeSantis said that while his wife had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the coronavirus pandemic, "Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden. That's clear."
