Laura Rubio, a member of the East Palo Alto Latino Committee (EPA), told Peninsula 360 Press that this event is completely family-oriented and about coexistence with the different Latino cultures that reside in the city.
“We will have a parade through the different streets of the city in which the residents of East Palo Alto will participate, wearing their traditional costumes from each of the Latin regions. Everyone is invited!” he said.
In addition, organizations and schools that have always participated in this parade will join the Festival.
There will be surprises in the parade, which will include mariachi music, he said.
This Festival has become a tradition that began to be celebrated in the 80's, with the participation of many volunteers who have made it possible for various activities to be carried out.

About the parade
The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will start at 550 Bell St., Palo Alto, ending at 12:00 p.m. at Bell Park, where attendees will be able to mingle and enjoy music, food, and lots of fun in a totally family-friendly event.

For his part, Edwin Cuellar, president of the EPA Latino Committee, commented that the Festival is an event that has become a tradition because it has been held for many years with the message that “we can have fun in a healthy way.”
The main objective is to unite the Latino community in a family environment, he stressed.
Cuellar also extended an invitation to the Latino community to attend the parade and the afternoon activities, and mentioned that several artists will participate: mariachis and bands such as La Exclusiva, Raza Obrera, Los Diablos, among other surprises.
“We thank all the people and organizations that have contributed their grain of sand to make this activity possible,” said Edwin Cuellar.
