Many people are anxious about flying, especially children, so the WAG Brigade is back at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), a four-legged team that seeks to support and relax, as well as fill with tenderness and love, all those who require it.
After the number of COVID-19 infections has declined in the U.S. and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has indicated that facemasks are no longer mandatory in all of its enclosed spaces, the quadruped brigade has returned to Level 2 at San Francisco International Airport.
As part of International Working or Guide Dog Day, travelers can enjoy and meet some of the 15 dogs and a giant rabbit that make up the beloved WAG Brigade, which was formed on December 3, 2013.
At the time, SFO launched a program, entitled "Wag Brigade," to bring trained dogs into terminals to make passenger travel more pleasant.
The San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) brought dogs certified through its Animal Assisted Therapy Program (AAT) to tour the terminals.
All the animals wear "Caress me!" vests that identify them.
