Authorities on Monday released the name of a 21-year-old man who was fatally shot over the weekend in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood.

Jameel Price was identified by the San Francisco Medical Examiner's Office as the man who was found with a gunshot wound around 7:40 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Dakota and 23rd streets. Price, a San Francisco resident, was taken by emergency crews to a hospital, where he died, according to local police.

The United States Coast Guard Northern California's Fire Department rescued a windsurfer from San Francisco Bay on Monday, the San Francisco Fire Department reported. The rescue operation was first reported at 4:12 p.m. by on Twitter. The fire department said an adult was rescued and "will be fine."

One person was hospitalized after being struck with a gun during an armed robbery in San Francisco's Portola district early Tuesday morning, according to local police.

The burglary was reported at 1:42 a.m. in the 900 block of Woolsey Street. Three suspects entered the home and one struck a resident with his gun. The trio took jewelry and cash before fleeing.

The victim struck by the gun was taken to a hospital, but is expected to survive. The suspects remain at large and San Francisco police have not released detailed descriptions of them.

Opioid makers Allergan and Teva will pay the city of San Francisco $34 million and provide the city with $20 million worth of Narcan, the overdose reversal drug, City Attorney David Chiu announced Tuesday.  

The settlement agreement with the two companies is part of an ongoing litigation that San Francisco filed on behalf of the people of the state of California against the opioid industry.  

The case began in 2018, when the San Francisco City Attorney's Office alleged that the corporate practices of opioid manufacturers, distributors and dispensers drove a widespread increase in opioid-related addictions and overdoses in the city.

Vincent Patrick Gaxiola, 29, was arrested on suspicion of several theft and drug-related offenses, according to the South San Francisco Police Department.

On Wednesday at 2:30 a.m., officers responded to numerous reports of a suspicious male walking in the Sunshine Gardens neighborhood and checking vehicle door handles.

Police searched Gaxiola and located numerous items of probable stolen property including clothing, vehicle and residential keys, binoculars, a golf course finder and a residential garage door opener.

A shooting in San Francisco's Mission District early Thursday morning left a 61-year-old woman wounded, according to police. The shooting was reported around 5 a.m. in the 1900 block of Mission Street, where the victim was sitting with friends when she was shot.

Authorities took the victim to a hospital to receive treatment for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.

A 56-year-old woman was hospitalized after being hit by a man who ran a red light on a scooter in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The collision was reported at 3:55 p.m. at Mission and 11th streets, where a 24-year-old man on an electric scooter allegedly ran a red light and struck the woman, who was in a crosswalk with a green light. The woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.

A man was detained for questioning following a chaotic Friday night at San Francisco International Airport in which a bomb threat resulted in police officers locating a suspicious package at the international terminal.

It began at approximately 8:15 p.m., when police responded to the airport following a bomb threat. Officers eventually located a suspicious package and immediately evacuated the international terminal. The BART station located at SFO was also closed.
