A private security guard is arrested after shooting and killing a 24-year-old woman outside a Walgreens on Market Street in San Francisco Thursday night, local police said.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Michael Earl-Wayne Anthony, who worked as a private security guard, who was arrested and booked into the San Francisco County Jail on a murder charge.
On Thursday, April 27, at approximately 6:33 p.m., officers at the Tenderloin Station of the San Francisco Police Department ?SFPD, for its acronym in English? responded to the 800 block of Market Street regarding a report of a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, a 24-year-old female, who appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound. Agents rendered assistance and medics were called to the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, but despite the efforts of first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The city medical examiner's office identified the victim as Chynna Brown, a San Francisco resident.
The SFPD Homicide Department took over the investigation. The preliminary investigation found that a robbery occurred during this incident.
