Three arrested in San Mateo for stabbing at Martin Luther King community center

The San Mateo police arrested three men suspected of being involved in a stabbing that occurred after a fight at the Martin Luther King Community Center.

The San Mateo Police Department said in a statement that on September 30, at 10:19 p.m., several officers responded to a report of a fight at the Martin Luther King Community Center, located at 725 Monte Diablo Avenue. . 

He stated that the agents arrived at the scene and located a victim who had a stab wound, who received immediate medical attention. 

According to authorities, the investigation revealed that the incident was the result of a physical fight that escalated and ultimately led to the stabbing. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

After quick actions by the police, the three suspects were arrested: Oliver Martínez Méndez, Sergio Pereira and José Guillén Martínez, who were booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
