With a totally family atmosphere, this May 5th the Latino Festival will be held in East Palo Alto, California, so members of the Latino Committee of the city have launched the invitation to the resident community, as well as neighboring cities, to join in the different activities they have prepared to live together in a great celebration.

Laura Rubio, member of the East Palo Alto Latino Committee (EPA), told Peninsula 360 Press that this event is completely family-friendly and coexistence with the different Latin cultures that reside in the city. 

?We will hold a parade through the different streets of the city in which the residents of East Palo Alto participate, who will wear their typical costumes from each of the Latin regions. Everyone is invited!?, he said.

In addition, organizations and schools that have always participated in this parade will join the Festival. 

There will be surprises in the parade, where there will be no shortage of mariachi music, he said.

This Festival has become a tradition that began to be celebrated since the 1980s, with the participation of many volunteers who have made it possible for various activities to be carried out.

About the parade

The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m., and will go from 550 Bell ST, Palo Alto, ending at 12:00 p.m. at Bell Park, where attendees will be able to mingle and enjoy music, food, and lots of fun. fun, a totally family event.

For his part, Edwin Cuellar, president of the EPA Latino Committee, commented that the Festival is an event that has become a tradition because for many years it has been held with the message that "we can have healthy fun." 

The main objective is to unite the Latin community in a family environment, he highlighted. 

Cuellar also launched an invitation to the Latin community so that they can attend the parade and activities in the afternoon, in addition to mentioning that there will be the participation of several artists: mariachis and bands such as La Exclusiva, la Raza Obrera, Los Diablos, among other surprises. 

"We thank all the people and organizations that have contributed with their grain of sand to make this activity possible," highlighted Edwin Cuellar.
