Jorge Teillier: an anthology of his poems to delve into the world of poetry
Camilasbooks took us to the world of poetry with one of its favorite authors, Jorge Teillier, a Chilean poet from the so-called ?literary generation of 1950?, ? creator and exponent of lyrical poetry that, without a doubt, has become a fundamental part of the review in this genre of literature.

I will see new faces
I will see new days
I will be forgotten
I will have memories
I'll see the sun rise when the sun rises
I will see the rain fall when it rains
I'll walk around without a problem
From side to side
I will bore half the world
Telling the same story
I'll sit down and write a letter
I'm not interested in sending
Or to look at the children
In the playgrounds.

I will always arrive at the same bridge
To look at the same river
I'll go see stupid movies
I will open my arms to embrace the void
I will drink wine if they offer me wine
I will drink water if you offer me water
And I will deceive myself by saying:
“New faces will come
New days will come.”

?Jorge Teillier, ?Blue?

This Saturday, Camilasbooks took us to the world of poetry with one of his favorite authors, Jorge Teillier, a Chilean poet from the so-called ?literary generation of 1950?, ? creator and exponent of lyrical poetry that, without a doubt, has become a fundamental part of the review in this genre of literature.

"Today I am going to recommend a book in particular that has been quite important for me in this entire path of knowledge and discovery of what has to do with poetry, I am talking about Jorge Teillier," Camilasbooks stressed.

The recommended book is ?Poetic Anthology? by Jorge Teillier, which gives an introduction to this Chilean writer and poet, one of the most influential of the century.

?One of the characteristics that I liked the most about Jorge is this longing, this nostalgic look that he has towards the past, but also towards the future and always also writing from everyday life.?

And Camilasbooks highlighted that Teillier was a man from the province, a fact that is evident in his writings.

?He always includes a little bit of what has to do with country life and he has a very particular way of writing, and one of the things that I have loved most about his verses and poems is the closeness he has in terms of language with the reader. He talked a lot about how he wrote for people in the provinces, so that people could read him and express something for others.

If you want to know more about this poet and Camilasbooks' reviews, don't miss it every Saturday on Peninsula 360 Radio and on our social networks.
