A man was arrested Thursday in North Fair Oaks for several offenses after he reportedly set off fireworks.
Mario Ventura, 49, a Menlo Park resident, was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics-related items, a controlled substance, tear gas, as well as fireworks, part of which were detonated, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
This Thursday at 3:00, officers observed fireworks going off in the area of Devonshire and Dumbarton Avenues.
As the agents approached the scene, they saw Ventura walking away. The agents detained him, and learned that he was on parole.
