Following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake recorded this Thursday morning in Cape Mendocino, California, 193 less intense earthquakes have been quantified in the area, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
Since the strongest tremor occurred on Thursday morning, the magnitude of the earthquake has varied from 2.1 to 4.7.
The December 5 magnitude 7.0 Cape Mendocino earthquake occurred approximately 100 km southwest of Ferndale, California, off the coast of Northern California, near the Mendocino Fracture Zone.
