authorities of the city of East Palo Alto they called to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. by planting trees in the park.
The appointment is this Saturday, January 21 at Joel Davis Park in East Palo Alto located at 1960 Tate St.
People of all ages are welcome at this volunteer tree planting event, hosted by Canopy and the City of East Palo Alto, where in addition to planting new trees for the park, there will be family activities, community resources and light snacks.
Registration for the event will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, and planting will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The mayor of the city, Rubén Abrica will plant at 2:30 p.m.
Remember that the weather could be cold, cloudy and with a probability of rain, so it is suggested to go with closed shoes, comfortable clothes to plant trees, and a jacket in case of light rain.
It should be noted that if there is a lot of rain that day, the event will be postponed until conditions allow.
