More and more PG&E crews will be in San Mateo County Monday and Tuesday to prepare for potential public safety power shutoffs, company officials said.
Crews over the two days will conduct a San Mateo County Power Shutoff Drill that will focus on the south-southwest sections of the county as summer begins.
Residents are likely to see helicopters overhead, as well as PG&E crews, contractors, and PG&E equipment.
Attention is focused on the Half Moon Bay and Menlo Park speedways, which affect properties in Half Moon Bay, Menlo Park, Pescadero, La Honda, Woodside, Portola Valley and parts of Redwood City.
It should be noted that the electricity will remain on throughout the drill.
