Fair Oaks Community Center will celebrate 50 years of service on October 9 with a day full of fun and information, where Redwood City residents can join this event that celebrates half a century of life of one of the most emblematic places in the city.
The event will be held on October 9 at the Fair Oaks Community Center located at 2600 Middlefield Rd in Redwood City, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (special program at 5:30 p.m.).
At this highly anticipated celebration, residents will be able to enjoy resource tables, food, music, dance performances, guided tours of the community center, and a digital history exhibit.
Fair Oaks Community Center is a multi-service center that offers a variety of activities to the greater Redwood City community, including the Senior Activity Center (including breakfast, lunch, classes, and other services); the Child Care and Early Childhood Development program for working parents.
Also, food, housing, and other emergency social and assistance services; immigration and citizenship services; ESL and citizenship classes; tenants’ rights clinic; support groups; mobile health van; Dignity on Wheels: Mobile Shower and Laundry Trailer for Homeless People; North Fair Oaks Community Council; facility rentals; and free meeting space for public agencies, nonprofits, and community groups.
