A car struck a pedestrian on Highway 101 with the front left side of the vehicle, the person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the 101 Freeway in Redwood City Monday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
