A pair of home burglaries in San Mateo County could be linked after two homes in the city of San Carlos were burglarized Sunday night within an hour of each other, so investigators with the County Sheriff's Department of San Mateo believe that the same trio is responsible for both.
At 8:02 p.m., sheriff's deputies were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Edmond Drive, where a residence was broken into and the bedroom ransacked, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
At that time, no one was found in the area.
About an hour later, at 9:11 p.m., another home was reportedly broken into in the 1000 block of Drake Court. Again, no one was found in the area, but CCTV footage allegedly showed three men dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robberies to contact the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department. Complaints can be reported anonymously by calling 1-800-547-2700.
