San Mateo County supervisors approve incentives for sheriff's deputies
For the next six months, San Mateo County will pay an incentive to deputies, doubling the amount for those who work more than nine hours of overtime a week, as San Mateo County deputies have been working long periods of mandatory overtime.

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors earlier this month approved incentives for county deputies amid efforts to maintain staffing levels at the Sheriff's Office.

The board voted unanimously on Dec. 12 to approve a six-month temporary funding agreement to financially support deputies this holiday season, Supervisor Ray Mueller's office said Monday.

For the next six months, San Mateo County will double pay for officers who work more than nine hours of overtime a week.
