This Thursday, the city of San Mateo will host what is a series of sessions organized by the county that seeks to hear from residents in four key areas for San Mateo County.
The session will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at College Park Elementary School, located at 715 Indian Ave., in San Mateo.
This is an opportunity for residents to help influence how local tax dollars from Measure K will be allocated in four key areas: Housing and Homelessness, Emergency Preparedness, Children and Families, and Mental Health.

Following the conclusion of the listening sessions and closure of the survey, staff will analyze the results and present the information to the Board of Supervisors and the public this fall.
After that, supervisors are expected to consider a spending plan this fall using Measure K funds.
Measure K is a voter-approved half-cent sales tax that provides local funds for local needs.
