After attempting to strangle a KKCO television news reporter on Dec. 18 after demanding to know his citizenship, saying, "This is now Trump's America," Patrick Egan of Colorado will face charges of bias, second-degree assault, harassment and intimidation.

According to the news outlet itself, Egan was set bail for $20 thousand and will appear in court on January 2, 2025 at 8:15 a.m.

According to police documents, officers learned that a man was driving from Delta to Grand Junction, Colorado, when another driver began following him in another vehicle. In the area of HWY 6 and 50 and 25 Road, the suspect asked the victim for his identification and if he was a U.S. citizen.
