Tech giant Google has fired 28 of its workers for their involvement in protests against Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion Israeli government contract for Google and Amazon cloud computing services, and the working conditions they face.
The layoffs occurred at two of the tech company's offices: Sunnyvale, California, and New York. This comes after workers occupied the office of Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian on Tuesday afternoon, while some at the Big Apple headquarters staged a sit-in protest at ea com.
