The City is planning a Park Safety Community Meeting in Redwood City in September to address community concerns.
"Community members have shared several concerns regarding safety issues at city parks, and the August 10 shooting near Red Morton Park, which injured two people, was distressing to many," he said. the mayor of Redwood City, Jeff Gee.

In a statement, the city council said the Redwood City Police Department continues to investigate the August 10, 2023 shooting at 1455 Madison Avenue, near Red Morton Park and the Veterans Memorial Senior Center.
