Surely many mothers and fathers have an old child safety seat that is getting in the way at home or simply needs to be replaced, well, this is the perfect opportunity, because starting this month you can exchange it at any Target store for various items.
U.S. retailer Target organizes a twice-yearly swap where users have the opportunity to exchange an old or damaged car seat for specific products made available by the store.
In an effort to recycle, the company's partner, Waste Management, will create new products including plastic buckets, building materials, carpet pads and more.
"Target's twice-yearly car seat swap event is one way we are working together to achieve our Target Forward goal of zero landfill waste in U.S. operations by 2030," the company noted on its website.
From 2016 to date, this campaign has managed to recycle 1.97 million car seats.
Those interested can exchange their old, damaged or expired car seat starting this Sunday, Sept. 11 through Sept. 22 of this year through the Target app or on the Target website. Target.com/circle to receive a coupon for 20 percent off a car seat, selected baby items or even a stroller.
The coupon will be valid until October 8 of this year.
