There are only a few days left until the end of this year and without a doubt throughout these last 12 months Internet users have left their mark on the cyber world with all kinds of searches in one of the most used browsers in the world, Chrome. This year the most searched on Google ranges from games to election results or how to help those displaced by the war between Russia and Ukraine.
According to the tech giant Google, the most searched in the US was the famous word game Wordle, a simple but ingenious browser game that was developed by Josh Wardle and is distributed by The New York Times.
Every day the game chooses a five-letter word that players try to guess within six guesses.? After the player enters the word they guess it is, each letter is marked in green, yellow, or gray: green indicates the letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means the letter is in the word unknown but not in the correct position, while gray indicates that the letter is not in the word to find. Every day the word is the same for all players.
This was followed by the electoral results throughout the country; Betty White, after her death on December 31, 2021 at the age of 99. In fifth place, Bob Saget is shown, an American actor, comedian and presenter who died on January 9, 2022 in Orlando, Florida at the age of 65.
They are followed by Ukraine, Mega Millions, Powerball numbers, Anne Heche and Jeffrey Dahmer.
In terms of news, the most searched for were the electoral results, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Ukraine, the numbers of the Power Ball lottery, Hurricane Ian, Monkeypox, the mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas, Will Smith at the Oscars, the verdict of the trial against Johnny Depp, and Roe v Wade.
The most searched people were Johnny Depp, Will Smith, Amber Heard, Antonio Brown, and Kari Lake, while the most searched athletes were Antonio Brown, Serena Williams, Joe Burrow, Aaron Judge, and Manti Te?o.
Google specified that among the most searched in How to help?, is How to help Ukraine, its refugees and the army of that country. This after the February 24 of this year, Russia invaded Ukraine. Situation that has caused the displacement of approximately 14 million people, thousands of deaths and injuries.
Other situations that led Internet users to searches were how to help the right to abortion, how to help Uvalde after the shooting at the primary school, how to help those affected by hurricanes Ian and Fiona.
