The Oakland Police Department reported Thursday that it has seen an increase in residential burglaries where the suspects involved are burglars disguised as delivery men. Amazon.
Police said several cases have been reported where suspected burglars, dressed in Amazon delivery driver vests, approach a residence and ring the doorbell to determine whether or not the residence is occupied.
The suspects then force their way into the home, take various items, and leave in a vehicle.
Police are investigating these thefts and anyone with information about them is asked to call (510) 238-3951.
