San Mateo County has partnered with healthcare provider Carbon Health to conduct up to two thousand COVID-19 tests daily at the San Mateo County Event Center.
Carbon Health will provide PCR testing at the Event Center beginning this Tuesday, February 1, and will allow walk-in access, or if you prefer, you can register online at https://forms.flowhealth.com/220267683087159.
Testing will be available Tuesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Event Center. The entrance to the testing site is located at 2701 South Delaware St., San Mateo.
The test is free of charge, and patients are only asked for identification, if possible.
County Administrator Mike Callagy said in a statement that the county already has a relationship with Carbon Health, as they helped open a mass vaccination site at San Francisco International Airport and other county clinics.
Carbon Health's director of development, Nita Sommers, said in a statement that the site can apply between 1,500 and 2,000 tests per day. They expect to provide results within 48 hours.
The county will work with Carbon Health for one month with the possibility of extensions as needed, health officials detailed, this after a partnership with biohealth technology company Virus Geeks was finalized following testing delays in early January.
