Teen charged with two violent crimes in downtown Redwood City

An 18-year-old man was charged with violent crimes in downtown Redwood City against a juvenile and an elderly man, police said Friday.

Brian Grijalva of Redwood City is suspected of stabbing an elderly person in the chest in the back of the Center Library on Sept. 20 and armed robbing a minor near the Cinemark Century Theater on Sept. 30. September, police said.

Grijalva was arrested early Friday morning in Courthouse Square, authorities said.
